Specialist Treatment
Verruca

Verruca (plantar warts) are usually found over pressure areas of the feet commonly caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). These can be rough or smooth circular growth in the skin, distinguished by small blood vessels that feed the viral cells and are often misdiagnosed as corns. Verruca can be singular or mosaic and quite uncomfortable and feel like walking on a stone when weight bearing. We offer various methods used to treat verruca:

Cryosurgery - a procedure using the destructive force of freezing temperatures on the body's cells and can often be successful with just one treatment. The treatment involves removal of the surface layer of the verruca following with short applications of cryotherapy.

Salicylic acid - this process involves debriding the wart area removing any callus formation followed by application of a potent high concentration solution. The area is then taped and should be kept in place for four days.
Other treatments are available for children or diabetic patients or if you wish to discuss further please call.

Wilde-Pedique Nail Reconstruction

Problematic toenails can be embarrassing and cause us to hide away our feet from family and friends, often caused by trauma, fungal infection or as a result of previous nail surgery. Wilde-pedique is a unique light-cured gel that provides a bespoke, cosmetically reconstructed natural looking nail that can be worn all year round. A choice of natural shade is available to make your new nail look as natural as possible or it can be finished with a colour.
